Wacky Wednesdays: 9 Scary-Impressive Houses Decked Out for Halloween

If there was ever a time for over-the-top decorating, it's Halloween. With the holiday's scary undertones and anything-goes attitude toward playing dress up, the sky's truly the limit with how you can trick out your house. Here are some of the coolest ideas we've spotted:

1. Dead on Arrival

At this home, trick-or-treaters must brave a DIY graveyard and wraparound porch disguised as an eerie funeral parlor.

2. Creepy Crawlies

Oversized spiders (and even a few ghosts) rule over this historic home.

3. Dramatic Bats

This impactful door decor is surprisingly chic (but still totally creepy), and is easy to recreate with black cardstock.

4. Gourd Guards

Well, this is certainly one way to keep spooky spirits away (though, we hope this family's home has another entrance around the corner).

5. (Don't) Enjoy Your Stay

This home morphed its exterior into a punny inn, complete with skeleton concierge.

6. Boarded Up

Massive cobwebs and blockaded windows say "enter if you dare."

7. Sweet Treats

Instead of erring on the spooky side, this porch celebrates the sweetest part of Halloween.

8. The Wicked Witch

This blogger is the queen of Halloween themes, decorating her home in a new, creative way each year. We love this Wizard of Oz vignette, topped off with flying monkey sillhouettes.

9. Mega Monster

What could be scarier than your own home threatening to take a bite?
