North Carolina offers wide variety of unusual places and things to see across the state.


 I thought I would share some of these places and feel free to share places or things you have seen and your experience if you like.



Winston Salem, North Carolina
there is a historical gas station shaped like a bright yellow Shell. This was a former Shell gas station.

Also located within this city is 12 foot tall by 16 feet circu****ence
coffee pot.

Collettsville, North carolina
A end of a dirt road you will find a house that the exterior is decorated with coffee mugs so is the fence. And if you still didnt see enough ... you got it the inside is decorated with coffee mugs as well at John Piverz House of Mugs


Murphy, North Carolina
world's largest Ten Commandments
with concrete letters 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide on the mountainside across .
Other markers include, the world's largest altar, a concrete structure 80 feet long erected .
The world's largest New Testament, an open concrete Bible 30 feet tall and 50 feet wide, and the world's largest cross, a prone concrete structure 115 feet wide and 150 feet long, lined by the flags of the eighty-six nations in which the church can be found. A replica of Christ's
tomb was also built at the park, and an outdoor baptismal pool which is used by thousands annually

Rockingham, North Carolina
Head north of the city on Highway 220 and there sits the worlds largest strawberry. At Least this is what this building shaped like one proclaims.

Raleigh, North Carolina
If you enjoy watching the big ball drop at times square be in Raleigh and watch the Big Acorn be split down at Midnight. Raleigh is known as the city of oaks.



Durham, North Carolina
Do dinosuars exist they do in Durham Athletic Park. It a leftover from Life and Science Museum.



Goldsboro, North Carolina
Do you love milk? Stop in this city at the PET
diary plant to observe a large version of PET milk carton


Stokesdale, North Carolina
Prefer tea over coffee? Stop in this city for a tea pot similar to coffee pot mention above set near a retirment community once location of a restaurant signage.



High Point, North Carolina
Heading to High Point to buy some furniture maybe shop at FurintureLand South? Stop for a photo op at one of the largest furniture bureaus there is another one in the city as well.


Thomasville, North Carolina
If you didnt finish shopping in High Point drive down the street from
Thomasville Furniture Outlet store to see worlds largest duncan phyfe chair.
The chair is 18 feet tall and sits on a 12 foot base.

Henderson, North Carolina
Need to see some legs? Head to this city to see a large cut out of womens legs sitting on the side of the road.

New Bern & Raliegh Durham Airport
Do you know someone needs a good butt kicking then there is a machine made to do just that.
One is located in parking lot behind at the
Angus Barn Restaurant near RDU
Newbern location is 10 miles east on highway 70.
The principle of the machine is to turn the crank which will turn the pulley that rotates
these boots to give a good kicking.
 
Rocky Mount, Leggitt, North Carolina There is a road between the two called Seven Bridges Road.
If you go down the road at night and count the bridges there is seven bridges
but if you turn around and drive back there is only six bridges.
